Benedictine University has named Walk Wiltschek as the new head coach of the club men’s and women’s bowling teams.

A seasoned higher educational professional, Wiltschek comes on board to start the programs from their infancy.  
 
"It was very clear from the moment we interviewed Walt that he was going to be a great fit for our student activities office and institution," said Benedictine Director of Student Activities Harold Watson. "His commitment to student development and the integration with the campus was evident and we are extremely excited about the culture he will bring to our bowling team."
 
The Northern Illinois University Graduate is excited to put his passion into action. “I’m excited to help launch a new program that’s gaining traction around the country,” said Wiltschek. “Bowling is something I’ve been part of since I was a kid, and I hope to share some of the passion and fun I’ve experienced with college students who are engaging the sport in a competitive environment.”

“My hope is it can be a sport where students can excel and develop their skills but also a place where they can have fun and find a passion for the game while being part of a supportive and encouraging team. As we grow, hopefully, it will another good light to shine on Benedictine, as well!”

Wiltschek begins his duties September 1.
