Purvin joined the Benedictine staff for the 2018 season and works with the linebackers.

Purvin played four seasons of collegiate football and was a two-time captain at Bethel College and earned a KCAC Defensive Player of the Week award. Purvin opened his collegiate career at Concordia-St. Paul, an NCAA Division II school, and played every game as a freshman.
