Whitley was a three-time Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Year at Lakeland from 2015-17. Lakeland won four consecutive conference titles during Whitley's tenure on the playing field. The Louisiana native was twice tabbed as the Wisconsin Private College Player of the Year and earned All-America honors as a senior by from the AFCA and D3football.com.
The holder of the conference's career record for passing touchdowns (91) will join the staff as a receivers coach after spending time at Fort Valley State and Wisconsin Lutheran. Whitley was a four-time NACC Scholar Athlete and currently ranks in the top-10 of 11 different conference career offensive categories. Whitley played professionally in Germany as well as two different indoor football teams.
