2008: Played and started in all 18 games in his first season for the Eagles.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Oak Forest (2008) … Marty Ruserry was his coach … Three varsity seasons … All-conference and all-area as both a junior and senior … Two all-tournament honors … As a senior, tallied 13 goals and eight assists … Team’s offensive MVP as a senior … Two-year team captain … Interact Club … Four-year Honor Roll member … Played club for Oak Forest Eagles (coached by Vince Caprio) … Played summer league for the Tinley Park Flames.

PERSONAL: Son of Antonio and Nelida Merenda … Has one younger sister … enjoys running, working out and collecting minerals.
