Justin Kinseth joined the Benedictine University track and field program in March of 2015 as the recruiting coordinator and assistant track & field coach for the men’s and women’s programs. Kinseth is a native of the Hawkeye state where he called Independence, Iowa home.
In the 2015-16 season, Kinseth helped lead the men's track and field team to their first-ever Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor championship that saw eight male conference champions. The Eagles had three student-athletes in four events qualify for the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships.
In outdoor action, the men's team had eight conference champions which led to the Outdoor NACC title. Six student-athletes qualified in five events for the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships, including the 4x100 relay that was ranked 4th in the nation throughout the season.

Before coming to Benedictine, Kinseth was an assistant track and field/cross country coach at Cardinal Stritch University for two years. Â In his early career, Kinseth has already coached 4 NAIA national qualifiers, one All-American, and one National Champion. Â From a recruiting standpoint, Justin helped bring in over 30 athletes on the men's side in two years and doubled the women's roster in just one season.Â

As an athlete, Justin competed in both football and track & field for Wartburg College (Iowa). During his time, he played wide receiver for the Knights and was a member of the 2009 Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) championship team eventually became NCAA Division III semi-finalists.

While as a track athlete, Kinseth competed in the javelin, pole vault, and combined events. In his career, he was a four year varsity letter winner and a multiple time place winner at the Iowa Conference Championships. He also found success in the multi’s finishing fourth all-time in the pentathlon for Wartburg.  Kinseth was a part of the 2012 indoor and 2013 outdoor IIAC championship teams as well.
Kinseth graduated from Wartburg College in 2013, holding a bachelor's degree in physical education. He has just completed his master's degree in sport management at Cardinal Stritch University and will graduate in the Spring of 2015.Â
