BELOIT, Wis. - Benedictine University won its second consecutive game, topping Beloit College, 74-66, on the road on Saturday afternoon. The win improved the Eagles to 2-1 on the season.
Sophomore Nate Green led a quartet of BU players in double digit scoring, thanks to his double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Green made a living at the free throw stripe, connecting on nine-of-15. Green also had three steals.
But Green wasn't the only Eagle who feasted at the charity line.
Junior Cameron Snelling was seven-of-eight from the line on his way to a 12 point game, and Bradley Bruno was four-for-four as he tallied nine points. Snelling also had eight rebounds.
As a team, Benedictine hit 23-of-34 free throws.
Dan Klecan and #A.J. Brown# contributed 13 and12 points, respectively, to round out the double-figure scoring.
Benedictine led at the half, 35-28, taking contriol of the game for good at the 2:40 minute mark of the first half. Jerrell Tribble's jumper gave BU the 29-27 lead it would never relinquish.
