NORTH CENTRAL BOX SCORE
LISLE, Ill. – The Benedictine University volleyball team split at the first day of the 2010 Eagle Classic, defeating Purdue University-Calumet in the first match but falling to North Central College in the second match.
The Eagles (21-7) dominated the first set against PUC, winning 25-11 and had a .321 hitting percentage of 12 kills and just three errors. Benedictine went on to win the next two sets 25-17, 25-15.
Benedictine dropped three straight sets to NCC, 25-18, 25-19, 25-20, in the second match of the day. North Central's Crystal Wright led all players with 12 kills while Leyden led BenU with seven kills and 12 digs.
Jackie Rust had 11 digs of her own.
