KENOSHA, Wis. The Benedictine University women's basketball team dropped a 65-49 decision to No. 9 Carthage College on Tuesday night in Tarble Arena in non-conference action.
The Eagles (2-1) were down 37-22 at the half, shooting 36.0 percent from the field (9-for-25) while the Lady Reds (3-0) shot 52 percent (13-for-25) from the field and were 54.5 percent from behind the arc.
Benedictine did score 27 points in the second half but it wasn't enough as Carthage went on to win 65-49 over the Eagles.
Two players scored in double figures for BenU with
Tracey Walsh totaling 17 points while
Karyn Conerty had 13 points.
Lidia Arias had six points and a team high six rebounds and four assists.
The Eagles are back in action December 1 when they travel to MSOE for a 7:00 pm tip-off.
