Nate Green led all players with 20 points and
Cameron Snelling tallied 18 points to help lead the Benedictine University men's basketball team to a 75-70 win over Northern Athletics Conference opponent, Edgewood College on Saturday afternoon.
Benedictine's (3-4, 1-2) win gave Edgewood (5-4, 3-1) their first loss of the season in NAC play.
After trading leads throughout the first six minutes, Benedictine's offense took off, going up by as many as 11 points with three straight jumpers from
AJ Brown and a three pointer from
Brian Genslinger.
Edgewood would cut the Eagle lead to just three at half when Travis Schaaf hit a three-pointer at the buzzer for a 40-37 half-time.
Benedictine was 16-for-25 in the first half (64.0 percent) and 4-for-7 from beind the arc (57.1 percent).
