WHEATON, Ill. – The Benedictine University volleyball team went a perfect 4-0 at the Wheaton University Tournament this weekend. After defeating Bowdoin University and Cornell College on Friday night, the Eagles defeated Lawrence University and Franklin College on Saturday morning.

On Saturday morning, all of the Eagles got a piece of the action. Against Lawrence, Nicole Brown led the team with 14 kills while
Kayla Leyden had 13 kills and also tallied 14 digs.
Jackie Rust led with 20 digs while
Meagan Kmieciak had 16 digs and six aces.#
Kara Zuro# tallied a double-double with 14 digs and 27 assists.
The Eagles defeated Franklin in four sets and saw Zuro and
Taylor Hoppe combine for 35 assists. Rust led all players with 19 digs and Hayley Fitzgerald had 17 digs and eight kills.
Miranda Brannen had nine kills while
Brooke Bowman registered eight kills.
The Eagles return to Northern Athletics Conference action on Tuesday, September 28 when they travel to Concordia University-Chicago for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
