RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Benedictine women's volleyball team dropped two matches at the Dominican Tournament on Friday night. The Eagles lost in three sets to both Grinnell College and host Dominican University. 

The Eagles (0-2) tallied 33 kills in the loss against Grinnell, but had 25 hitting errors in 120 attempts. Senior Kayla Leyden had a match high 13 kills while senior Jackie Rust had a team high 12 digs. Setter Kara Zuro had 14 assists.  

In the second match of the night, Dominican (2-0) took an early lead on the Eagles and never looked back, tallying 45 kills compared to the Eagles 23. Leyden picked up her first double-double of the year, tallying 10 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore Miranda Brannen had seven kills. 

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday morning when they take on Lawrence at 9:00 a.m. and Principa at 11:00 a.m.
