RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Benedictine University volleyball team picked up their eighth straight win on Wednesday night after defeating Concordia University-Chicago in four sets. The win moved the Eagles to 8-1 in Northern Athletics Conference action.
Benedictine (15-9, 8-1 NAC) took the first set easily, 25-12 but let Concordia -Chicago (10-12, 5-3) come back to take the second set 25-17. The Eagles went on to take the next two sets 26-24 and 25-15.
Candice Cuppini led BenU with 16 kills and also tallied eight digs while
Nicole Adams had 13 kills and four block assists.
Kaitlin Walsh also hit in double-figures with 10 kills. Abby Sattler had 46 assists and on the defensive side
Kara Zuro tallied 22 digs while
Molly Kovacich had 15 digs.
As a team the Eagles tallied 50 kills, 81 digs and eight blocks.
Sarah Potter led the Cougars with 10 kills and nine digs.
Benedictine is off this weekend and they return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 18 when they travel to Rockford College for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
