AURORA, Ill. - The Benedictine University volleyball team bounced Maranatha Baptist Bible College in three straight sets on Saturday afternoon to extend their winning streak to seven games. The win moved the Eagles to 14-9 on the year and 6-1 in Northern Athletics Conference action.
The Eagles hit .344 as a team in the match, out-hitting Maranatha 40-25 while also out-digging the Crusaders 38-28. Benedictine also totaled 14 team blocks while holding MBBC to just six.
Candice Cuppini led BenU with 14 kills while
Kaitlin Walsh had 11 kills and five block assists.
Meagan Kmieciak and
Kara Zuro both had 10 digs while
Molly Kovacich tallied six kills and three aces.
The Eagles continue their quest for a NAC championship on Wednesday night when they travel to Concordia University-Chicago for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
