AURORA, Ill. - The Benedictine University volleyball team dropped a five-set thriller to Aurora University on Wednesday night in Northern Athletics Conference action.
The Eagles (6-7, 1-1 NAC) were down two sets to one and came back to win the fourth set 25-18. Aurora out-hit BenU in the fifth set to take the match, 3-2.
Candice Cuppini led all players with 14 kills while
Nicole Adams had seven kills.
Haley Fitzgerald had five kills and a team high 18 digs while
Meagan Kmieciak had 12 digs. Abby Sattler totaled 28 assists and 10 digs.
As a team, Benedictine had 41 kills and 64 digs while the Spartans 54 kills and 70 digs.
Benedictine is back in action this weekend when they compete in the Gargoyle Classic hosted by University of Chicago.
