CHICAGO, Ill. - Despite winning the first set 25-23, the Benedictine University women's volleyball team dropped a four-set match to non-conference opponent North Park University on Wednesday night.
The Eagles (2-3) allowed the Vikings to take three straight sets from them (24-26, 18-25, 19-25) after taking a 1-0 lead.
As a team, BenU tallied 42 kills and 62 digs. Leading the way for the Eagles was
Candice Cuppini with nine kills while
Brooke Bowman had seven. On the defensive side,
Meagan Kmieciak led all players with 16 digs while
Molly Kovacich tallied 12 digs. Abby Sattler ran the offense with 24 assists.
Benedictine volleyball is back in action this weekend when they travel to Bloomington, Ill. to compete in the Illinois Wesleyan Tournament. The Eagles take on Illinois Wesleyan at 3:00 pm and Webster University at 5:15 pm on Friday night.
