LISLE, Ill. - With a 3-0 win over Rockford College on Tuesday night, the Benedictine University volleyball team recorded their third straight victory to move to 22-3 on the season.
The Eagles (22-3, 9-1 NAC) got off to a slow start early in the match, falling behind to Rockford (4-23, 1-8 NAC). With the help of their strong defense and a .255 hitting percentage, Benedictine was able to pull out a 25-20 win. Benedictine went on to win the second set 25-21 and 25-20 in the third set for the sweep.
Nicole Adams and
Candice Cuppini each tallied 17 kills while Abby Sattler recorded 43 assists. Defensively
Kara Zuro led all players with 21 digs.
The Benedictine volleyball team is back in action this Saturday night when they host Dominican University at 7:00 p.m. in the Rice Center.
