Nicole Adams tallied 13 kills and
Kara Zuro tied her season high 27 digs as the Benedictine University volleyball team defeated Milwaukee School of Engineering 3-1.
Benedictine (19-2, 6-0 NAC) held MSOE (3-12, 1-4 NAC) to a negative hitting percentage in the first set with a 25-17 win. The Raiders out-dug and out-hit the Eagles in the second set to take it 25-23. Being down by as many as eight, Benedictine came from behind to defeat MSOE 25-19 in the third set and the final set saw the Eagles with 14 kills to win 25-18 for the victory.
Adams had 13 kills for a .407 hitting percentage and four black assists while
Candice Cuppini led all players with 15 kills. Abby Sattler had 42 assists, 10 digs and four block assists while Zuro led all players with 27 digs.
Mailani Burton had eight kills and five block assists and
Haley Fitzgerald had 11 digs.
As a team, BenU had 10 blocks and 57 kills to remain undefeated in Northern Athletics Conference action.
Benedictine is back in action on Friday night when they travel to Edgewood College for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
