Molly Kovacich tallied eight kills and
Haley Fitzgerald recorded 19 digs as the Benedictine University volleyball team defeated Wisconsin Lutheran College 3-0 to advance to the Northern Athletics Conference semifinal match.
In a 25-18 first set win, Benedictine (28-4) had 13 kills afor a .296 hitting percentage. The Eagles got off to a slow start in the second set but
Kara Zuro served 11 straight points as BenU regained the lead to win the second set 25-17. Benedictine recorded 15 kills in the third set to win 25-18.
Nicole Adams led all players with 10 kills and two block solos while
Candice Cuppini had 11 kills. Abby Sattler had 31 assists and Zuro tallied 15 digs.
Benedictine will host the NAC semifinal match against the No. 3 seed, Dominican University, on Thursday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Rice Center.
