The Benedictine University volleyball team dropped their first Northern Athletics Conference match of the season, falling in five sets to Edgewood College on Friday night.
Benedictine (19-3, 6-1) lost the first two sets 25-23, 25-18 before coming back to win the nex ttwo 25-21, 25-18. The final set saw Edgewood win 15-10 to take home the five set victory.
Candice Cuppini led the team with 13 kills while
Molly Kovacich and Kaitlin Walash each tallied 11 kills, 10 digs.
Kara Zuro led the defense with 20 digs followed by Megan Kmieciak with 17 digs.
Nicole Adams had 10 kills and three block assists.
Benedictine is back in action on Saturday morning when they take on Maranatha Baptist Bible College at 11:00 a.m.
