Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Benedictine University volleyball team traveled to St. Louis, Mo. to open up the 2012 season, defeating Benedictine University-Springfield and Webster College in three sets.

Against BenU-Springfield, the Eagles (2-0) won in three sets (26-24, 25-18, 25-18). Abby Sattler tallied 26 assists while Kara Zuro and Meagan Kmieciak combined for 19 digs. Candice Cuppini led the BenU offense with 10 kills while Kaitlin Walsh and Nicole Adams each had six kills. Jacki Kaluzny had five aces and Kmieciak had three aces.

In game two, the Eagles once again swept their opponent, Webster (25-19, 25-20, 25-22). Sattler had 36 assists while Molly Kovacich had a team high 11 kills and Adams had nine kills and seven blocks. On defense, Zuro tallied 26 digs while Kmieciak and Kaluzny each dug 16 balls.

The Eagles volleyball team continues their St. Louis trip on Saturday morning when they take on Fontbonne University at 10:00 a.m. then play Missouri Valley Community College at 12:00 p.m.
