Box Score 2 DECATUR, Ill. - The Benedictine University volleyball team won both of its matches on the second day of the Millikin University Linda Sagell Classic, defeating Wisconsin Lutheran College and Concordia University-Wisconsin in three sets.
Benedictine (15-1) defeated WLC in three sets (25-23, 25-17, 28-26).
Candice Cuppini led the offense with 13 kills while five different players tallied 12 digs:
Jacki Kaluzny,
Haley Fitzgerald,
Kara Zuro,
Molly Kovacich and Abby Sattler. Sattler also recorded 25 assists.
Against Concordia-Wisconsin, the Eagles won 25-7, 25-23, 25-12 and tallied 32 kills as a team, led by Sattler and Cuppini with six kills. Defensively, Zuro led the way with 15 digs while
Mailani Burton had four block assists.
Cuppini, Kovacich and Sattler were all named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Eagles move to 15-1 on the season and return to Northern Athletics Conference action when they host Concordia-Wisconsin on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm in the Rice Center.
