LISLE, Ill. - With a 3-0 win over Concordia University-Wisconsin, the Benedictine University volleyball team moved to 3-0 in Northern Athletics Conference action on Tuesday night.
Benedictine (16-1, 3-0 NAC) had an impressive .385 hitting percentage with 12 kills and just two errors to take the first set 25-5. Concordia-Wisconsin (3-9, 1-3 NAC) bounced back and gave the Eagles a run for their money in the second set but fell short, 25-19. The third set was a battle back and forth but BenU held CUW to just eight kills for the 25-19 win.
The Eagles out-hit Concordia-Wisconsin with 46 kills and out-dug the Falcons 55-28.
Candice Cuppini led all players with 12 kills while Abby Sattler had 35 assists, four kills and six digs. Defensively,
Kara Zuro tallied a game-high 15 digs while
Mailani Burton and
Molly Kovacich each had three block assists.
Haley Fitzgerald and
Meagan Kmieciak had two aces each.
Benedictine is back in action tomorrow, September 26 for a 7:00 p.m showdown at No. 14 The University of Chicago.
