LISLE, Ill. - Benedictine University volleyball moved to 4-0 in Northern Athletics Conference action with a 3-0 win over Marian University on Friday night at the Dan and Ada Rice Center.
Benedictine (17-2, 4-0 NAC) defeated Marian (10-9, 2-2 NAC) 25-17 in the first set and tallied 16 kills in the second set for a 25-21 win. The Sabres led the beginning of the third set but the Eagles never panicked and went on to win 25-23 in the final set.
Molly Kovacich led all players with 11 kills and 15 digs.
Candice Cuppini tallied 10 kills while Abby Sattler had 33 assists.
Nicole Adams had six kills and three block assists and
Kara Zuro had 14 digs.
Benedictine is back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host Lakeland College at 12:00 p.m. in the Rice Center.
