The Benedictine University volleyball team reocrded 32 kills and tallied 68 digs in a 3-0 win over Lakeland College on Saturday afternoon in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action.

The win moved Benedictine to 13-10 overall and 7-0 in the NACC.

The Eagles trailed early in the first set, going down 15-12 but kills from Nicole Adams and Mailani Burton tied the game at 16. The teams traded points for the next few points until kills from Molly Kovacich and Abby Sattler ended the set 26-24.

Benedictine won the next two sets 25-19, 25-20.

Candice Cuppini led the Eagles with 11 kills while Kovacich recorded seven kills and 13 digs. Adams had five kills and five block assists while Haley Fitzgerald tallied 23 digs. Abby Sattler had three service aces and 27 assists on the day.

The Eagles are back in action on Tuesday, October 15 when they travel to Aurora University for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
