The Benedictine University volleyball team defeated Aurora University in four sets on Tuesday night in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action.
The win helped keep BenU's unbeaten streak in conference play alive, making it 8-0. Overall the Eagles own a 14-10 record.
Benedictine cruised through the first two sets, handing Aurora (10-14, 3-4 NACC) 25-19, 25-12 losses before the Spartans edged BenU in the third set, 25-22. Benedictine tallied 15 kills and just three errors in the fourth set to win 25-21.
Candice Cuppini led all players with 18 kills while 
Molly Kovacich recorded 12 kills and 
Nicole Adams with 11. Defensively, 
Haley Fitzgerald and Abby Sattler had 11 digs each while 
Breanna Hamerlinck and 
Andraia Leja each recorded 10 digs.
As a team, BenU had 10.5 team digs including five block assists from Adams and three from Sattler and 
Kara Epping.
Benedictine volleyball is back in action this Friday night, October 18 when they host Edgewood College. Both teams are undefeated in NACC action. Game starts at 7:00 pm in the Rice Center.
