The Benedictine University volleyball team dropped two matches on Friday afternoon at the first annual Illinois-Iowa Crossover Challenge in the Wisconsin Dells.

Benedictine (7-10) fell to Coe College in the first set (25-12, 25-20, 26-24). Candice Cuppini lead all players with 12 kills while Molly Kovacich recorded seven kills and Nicole Adams tallied six kills. Defensively, Haley Fitzgerald led all players with 15 digs and Breanna Hamerlinck had nine digs. Abby Sattler tallied 22 assists and eight digs.

Benedictine faced Wartburg College in the second match, falling in three sets (25-19, 25-18, 25-17). Cuppini led all players with 11 kills while Kovacich recorded six kills and 14 digs. Fitzgerald had 11 digs while Sattler had 22 kills.

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they face University of Dubuque and Loras College.
