In day two of the Illinois-Iowa Crossover Challenge in the Wisconsin Dells, the Benedictine University volleyball team defeated University of Dubuque in three straight sets before winning in five sets against Loras College.
Against Dubuque, Cuppini and Kovacich led the offense with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Keriann Green recorded four kills and one block assist during the match while Kovacich had 15 digs and Fitzgerald had 10 digs. Abby Sattler tallied 22 assists and 10 digs in the match.
In the second match against Loras, Benedictine (9-10) was led by Kovacich with 21 kills and 12 digs while Sattler had 28 digs and 40 assists.
Caitlyn Martin had a team high 21 digs while
Brooke Bowman had eight kills.
Ashley Karsten also had nine kills.
The BenU volleyball team travels to Milwaukee School of Engineering on Friday, October 4 for a 7:00 p.m. match. The Eagles are back home again on Saturday, October 5 when they host Concordia University-Wisconsin at 2:00 p.m.
