LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University men's basketball team could not outscore Concordia Wisconsin in a 90-76 defeat on Saturday afternoon.
Concordia Wisconsin scored the first five points of the game and did not look back, shooting 62.1 percent in the first half. The hosts led by as many as 20 points in the half half and held a 50-33 lead at the break.
Benedictine shot well in the second half and was able to close within 13 on three occasions but could not overcome the deficit from the first half.
Five players scored in double figures led by 18 from
Tim McGinty.
Tahron Harvey scored 12 off the bench with
Michael Woolf and
Tyler Thurston notching 11.
Michael Blaszczyk also added 10.
Benedictine (5-9, 3-6) meets Rockford on the road Tuesday night to start a busy week.
