The Benedictine University women's volleyball team tallied 34 kills in a 3-0 sweep over Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday night in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action.
The win improved the Eagles record to 2-0 in NACC play. Benedictine defeated WLC in three sets (25-10, 25-8, 25-16) and tallied 34 kills, 36 digs and nine blocks as team while holding Wisconsin Lutheran to 20 kills and 28 digs.
Erin Wiegand tallied eight kills and had five block assists while
Keriann Groen knocked down seven kills and had three block assists.
Abby Screnock recorded 21 assists and
Molly Morley led the defense with 11 digs and three aces.
Andraia Leja had five digs and three aces.
"I was proud of the girls tonight," said head coach
Jennifer Wildes. "The girls worked well as a team and it's always a good feeling to get a conference win."
The BenU women's volleyball team is back in action this weekend when they travel to Dubuque Iowa to compete in the IIAC/NACC Crossover. Benedictine takes on Loras College and Luther College on Friday night followed by matches against Wartburg College and Coe College on Saturday.
