Box Score 2 The Benedictine University women's volleyball team competed in the second day of the NACC/IIAC Crossover Challenge in Dubuque, Iowa on Saturday. The Eagles fell in straight sets to Wartburg College (17-25, 11-25, 15-25) and Coe College (16-25, 12-25, 8-25).
The Eagles (4-14) tallied 23 kills and 44 digs as a team in the match.
Beckie Whitmarsh led the offense with eight kills while
Ashley Karsten recorded five.
Abby Screnock had 20 assists, two aces and eight digs while
Andraia Leja had a team high 12 digs.
In the second match, both Whitmarsh and
Erin Wiegand tallied four kills while Leja again led the defense with 10 digs.
The women's volleyball team is back in action on Tuesday, September 30 when they travel to Alverno College for a 7:00 pm contest.
