Men's Soccer Unable to Press Past Concordia Chicago

LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University men's soccer team dominated the final 15 minutes but could not find a way to push across the tying goal in a 2-1 home loss to Concordia University Chicago.

THE DETAILS
•
Concordia Chicago opened the scoring just over 20 minutes into the contest, converting a corner kick after three Benedictine shots
• The visitors had an opportunity to make the score 2-0, but Zorohn Reed stepped up, making a save on a penalty kick
• Late in the first, Benedictine scored their only goal when Francisco Delgado collected his third of the year on a penalty kick
• A corner kick set up the game-winner for Concordia Chicago in the 51st minute
• The defense tightened and from the 62nd minute on, Concordia Chicago managed just two total shots
• Concordia Chicago's netminder made four saves in the final 15 minutes
• A last second attempt from Gio Ovalle following a corner kick just missed wide
• Benedictine has yet to win back-to-back conference contests this season
• Every loss this season has come by a single goal
