MEQUON, Wis. - The Benedictine University women's soccer team rallied late, but dropped a 2-1 overtime decision on the road to the leaders of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, Concordia University Wisconsin.

THE DETAILS
• After Benedictine tied the game in the 79th minute, the hosts needed less than two minutes to snatch a win in overtime
• All three goals in the contest came in the second half and overtime
• Concordia Wisconsin opened the scoring in the 54th minute
• Sabie Ramirez was able to tie the game on a feed from Jackie Elzakhem, sending a shot through the keeper's hands from 11 yards out
• Benedictine had two shots in the final six minutes
• The winning goal scored on the first attempt of overtime
• Concordia Wisconsin presently leads the NACC with a 4-0 record

"It is heartbreaking to lose in overtime, particularly to a conference opponent," said head coach Mike Boland. "I'm proud of the group and the resolve we showed to equalize the game late. The willingness and desire to compete in everything we do is a pillar of our makeup."

STAT LEADERS
• Concordia Wisconsin dominated the action in terms of shots, peppering Maddie Frye with a 29-8 advantage
• Frye recorded a season high 13 saves for Benedictine in goal
• Elzakhem led Benedictine with three shots while Zoie Holloway added two, both on goal
