LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team continued a busy week by recording a 13-7 non-conference win over Carroll at home on Friday night.
Benedictine did not trail in the contest.
Kam Haifleigh opened the scoring on the first possession of the game, converting on a pass from
Gabby Rowe for her first goal of the year with 29:38 remaining. The teams would trade goals until Benedictine rattled off six consecutive goals to take control.
Samantha Link opened the scoring run. Benedictine led 8-3 at halftime. Carroll pulled within 12-7 in the second half before a late
Jasmine Moreno goal accounted for the final tally.
Rowe and
Becca Gullett each netted four goals.
Hannah Smith recorded nine saves in goal. Benedictine recorded 27 shots in the victory.
Benedictine (2-11) resumes the conference slate on Sunday with a game at Loras.
