MEQUON, Wis. - The Benedictine University baseball team was limited to only two runs in a pair of losses at the NACC Tournament on Saturday, ending the season after defeats of 8-0 to Concordia Chicago and 4-2 to Concordia Wisconsin.
Joe Palasiewicz received the ball against Concordia Chicago, who shared the conference title. The Cougars scored an unearned run in the top of the first to take the lead and added three in the second. Palasiewicz allowed just two earned runs with seven strikeouts in 7.1 innings, but the bats managed just two hits while the defense made nine errors.

Matthew Higgs managed the hits with
Tim Hendricks drawing a pair of walks.
The loss in the opener set up an elimination game with Concordia Wisconsin in the fourth meeting of the year between the teams. Benedictine rallied past Concordia Wisconsin on Friday but could not in a season ending defeat. The Eagles fell behind 4-0 before a late rally, leaving the tying runs on base in the ninth.
Max Oppenheimer logged an RBI single in the eighth while a run scored in the ninth on an error.
Mike Spalla allowed just one earned run in 5.1 innings but took the loss.
Dylan Smith worked 1.2 innings and
Christopher Nesbitt worked the final two innings. Hendricks,
Mike Ostrowski, and Oppenheimer picked up two hits each as Benedictine finished with eight.
Benedictine closes the year with a record of 19-24.
