DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Benedictine University women's soccer team scored a season high four goals, but a pair of goals in the final 10 minutes allowed Loras College to notch a 5-4 win.
After Loras scored a goal in the seventh minute to jump ahead 1-0, Benedictine scored two in a row to take the lead.
Jackie Elzakhem scored in the 20th minute and
Danielle Melotte scored in the 26th. Loras responded with a pair to lead 3-2 at the half.
Taylor Pokorny was able to tie the game in the 52nd minute with her second of the year on a penalty kick, and scored again in the 65th minute on an in-direct free kick to put Benedictine ahead. The hosts, who won a fifth in a row, knotted the score in the 81st minute and tallied the winner in the 85th.
Loras held a 19-8 advantage in shots.
Amanda Lozada played the entire game in goal, making seven saves. Pokorny posted three shots, all on target. Melotte added two in the contest.
Benedictine (2-3) travels to Elmhurst on Wednesday.
