ELMHURST, Ill. - The Benedictine University women's soccer team allowed three first half goals in a 4-0 loss at Elmhurst on Wednesday night.
Benedictine held a 19-12 advantage in shots but could not find the back of the net. Elmhurst scored three times in the first half and did not look back, netting the opening goal in the 16th minute. The hosts added a second goal just over a minute later and a third in the 27th minute.
Danielle Melotte led Benedictine with five shots.
Taylor Pokorny and
Sabie Ramirez added three each.
Amanda Lozada played the entire game in goal and stopped four shots.
Benedictine (2-4) faces Rockford on Saturday in a non-conference game.
