LISLE, Ill. - The Benedictine University men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Millikin on Saturday.
A very even contest, Millikin netted the only goal in the 72nd minute. Both teams finished with 11 shots in the contest, but the Eagles put seven on target.
Francisco Delgado posted three shots, all on goal. Benedictine held a 5-3 edge in the first.
Steve Mack made four saves in goal.
"Millikin fought hard and manufactured a goal off of a throw-in," head coach
Rich Nassif said. "We let them dictate their style and gave them way too much space the entire match. We walked away disappointed in our team approach to the match and have some fundamentals to correct in order to turn momentum around."
Benedictine (0-2) hosts North Central on Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
