LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team is unbeaten in six consecutive matches after posting a third straight victory with a 3-0 shutout of Lakeland on Saturday night.

• Benedictine put the pressure on early
• Lakeland's keeper made a pair of saves in the first 15 minutes and
Miguel Sanchez hit the crossbar with an attempt
• Nick Kapetanos netted his 14th goal of the season on a through ball from
Erik Stammer in the 25th minute for the opening tally
• The goal was the lone strike of the first half
• A frantic flurry of action opened the second before Kapetanos made the score 2-0 by finishing another through from Stammer in the 53rd minute
• Kapetanos returned the favor in the 80th minute with a give-and-go to Stammer, who found the back of the net for the final goal

"I was very impressed with the way both teams competed tonight from start to finish," head coach
Attila Schmidt said. "We were able to create the lion's share of chances overall, but Lakeland really made us work for everything in this one."
