LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team saw a nine-match unbeaten streak come to a close with a 3-2 loss to MSOE on homecoming.

• Benedictine put on early pressure but it was the visitors who scored first
• MSOE struck following a free kick in the 10th minute to take the lead
• Aldreiron Smith delivered the tying goal late in the first half

• The second half saw a frantic pace to start
• MSOE scored in the 50th minute and staved off some chance to build the lead to 3-1 in the 57th minute
• Erik Stammer quickly responded off the restart, poking home a feed from
Nick Kapetanos in the 58th minute
• Both teams saw end-to-end back and forth chances as the match drew to a close
• A late try from Kapetanos was denied
• Benedictine had not lost since September 10

"Tonight was an exciting game of college soccer," head coach
Attila Schmidt said. "It's not often that you see both teams miss on penalty kick opportunities. MSOE is a well coached team and did a great job of capitalizing on their opportunities tonight."
