ROCKFORD, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team rebounded by tallying the seventh shutout of the season at Rockford on Wednesday afternoon, notching a season high seven goals.

THE DETAILS
• Six different individuals were able to find the back of the net for Benedictine
• Pedro Parra notched the first goal in the 20th minute, finishing a cross from
Erik Stammer into an open net
• Marty Dahlquist pushed the lead to 2-0 in the 38th minute when
Nick Kapetanos pushed a pass through the defense
• Benedictine put the game away with five goals in the second half
• Santiago Beltran started the spurt with an unassisted tally off a Rockford turnover in the 49th minute
• Moments later Stammer struck to move the lead to 4-0
• Three goals scored in a seven minute span when Beltran netted his second
• Nick Kapetanos and
Yair Ortega collected the final two goals

"We had four players score their first goal of the season, which is always great," said head coach
Attila Schmidt. "It was nice to see Antonio (Marti-Polo) add another shutout to his total."
