Women's Soccer Falls to MSOE



LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 home loss to the leaders of the NACC, MSOE.

THE DETAILS

MSOE grabbed an early lead, scoring on the first opportunity of the contest
• The visitors limited chances for Benedictine through the night, particularly in the first half
• MSOE stretched the lead to 2-0 in the 36th minute
• Taylor Pokorny made the most of the only first half shot, finding the back of the net in the 39th minute
• Benedictine created more chances in the second
• MSOE put the game away with a goal in the 81st minute
• The loss halted a four match unbeaten streak

FROM THE COACH
"Credit to MSOE," head coach Mike Boland said. "They are a hard working and talented group and feature some very dangerous attackers. We kept it tight for most of the night and created opportunities to equalize in the second half. This game had the feel of a postseason contest, and we will take that experience and lessons from the match moving forward to ensure we return to the NACC Tournament."
