LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team secured a first round bye in the upcoming NACC Tournament by scoring four goals in the second half to stop visiting Marian University on senior night.

THE DETAILS
• Nick Kapetanos scored all four goals to surpass the 20-goal marker for the year
• The first half featured a scoreless 45 minutes
• Benedictine peppered the net for several minutes in the first half but could not put a shot on target
• A foul in the box in the opening 10 minutes of the second half set up a penalty kick
• Kapetanos buried the opportunity to give Benedictine the lead
• Marian quickly responded on a free kick, catching the defense off guard
• Less than 30 seconds after the Marian strike Kapetanos buried a counter on a give-and-go
• Two more goals put the game out of reach
• The team now owns 12 wins, the most in recent school history
• Benedictine secured a first round bye in the conference tournament
