Volleyball Sweeps on Senior Night

The Benedictine University women's volleyball team ended their 2016 senior night on a positive note with a 3-0 win over Marian University to secure a spot in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament. Before the match, the volleyball team honored their seniors: Kelcey Adams, Kara Epping, Jaiden Fagrie, Keriann Groen, Caitlyn Martin and Molly Morley.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine tallied a .346 hitting percentage with 11 kills to win the first set 25-13
• The second set was even more impressive with BenU tallying 18 kills and a .417 hitting percentage, but Marian's offense also caught fire, collecting 15 kills of their own – an Erin Wiegand kill gave the Eagles the 25-22 victory
• In the third set, the teams traded points all the way to the end but a BenU triple block put the Eagles up 23-22 and they never looked back, winning 25-22
