LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's soccer team battled the defending conference champion and preseason favorite Concordia University Wisconsin to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine scored on the very first venture up the field
• Kayleigh Sommer lobbed home a cross from 15 yards out that floated into the net at the two minute mark
• The lead held through the first half
• Cassidy Henson posted five first half saves to keep the lead in tact
• The visitors were able to even the contest in the 55th minute on the finish of a cross
• Taylor Pokorny completed a two-on-one in the 70th minute to put Benedictine ahead again
• Concordia Wisconsin tied the game with under five minutes remaining on a free kick following a foul
• Benedictine produced three shots in the closing moments of regulation but could not strike
• Benedictine posted five shots in the overtime but could not score
• A pair of late attempts from Concordia Wisconsin were off the mark
• Benedictine has collected at least a point in the past three conference contests

"It stings to concede a late goal with less than five minutes to go," said head coach Mike Boland. "However, I was very happy to see the resolve of the group after giving up each goal.  The fight of our group was great, both mentally and physically."
