Volleyball Season Ends in NACC Quarterfinals

The Benedictine University women's volleyball season came to an end in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference quarterfinal match, falling in four sets to Dominican University on the road. The Eagles entered the match as the #6 seed while Dominican was the #3 seed.

THE FINAL
Benedictine 1, Dominican 3 (19-25, 21-25, 26-24, 22-25)

THE DETAILS
• The Eagles trailed 7-2 in the first set but managed to come within two points late in the game – both teams would hit in the negative but it was Dominican who would take the set 25-19
• After a back and forth start to the second set, the Stars offense would tally 17 kills and hit .536 for the 25-21 win
• Benedictine trailed early in the third set but tied it up at 23 on two Kristina Billie aces – the Eagles would go on to win after two DU errors 26-24
• The Eagles were up early in the fourth set but allowed Dominican to record 16 kills en route to a 25-22 win
• Benedictine recorded 37 kills in the match while DU tallied 55 kills
• Defensively, the Stars had nine blocks and 63 digs compared to BenU's four blocks and 51 digs
• The Eagles tallied six aces in the match
