LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team opened the conference schedule with a 60-48 victory over visiting Aurora University on Saturday afternoon.

• Benedictine never trailed in the contest
• D'Asia Williams scored on the first offensive possession
• Roxanna Gaddis drained a three-pointer as part of a 6-0 run to hand Benedictine a 14-8 edge with under two minutes remaining in the opening quarter
• Williams connected on a three with 6:44 left in the first half to extend the lead to seven points at 22-15
• Aurora responded with five straight to fight within a pair and trailed 30-27 at halftime
• The margin remained in single digits during the third quarter, but Williams twice stretched the advantage to seven points
• A run of 12-0 spanning from the end of the third through the early portion of the fourth stretched the lead to 15 points
• Williams capped the run with a layup at the 6:53 mark of the final quarter
• The visitors pulled within nine points at 48-39 but could get no closer
STAT LEADERS
• Benedictine scored 17 points off Aurora turnovers
• Benedictine shot 35 percent for the game and held a 43-39 edge on the glass
• Williams was the lone player to reach double figures, scoring a career best 24 and adding eight rebounds
• Samantha McCarthy contributed nine points
