OREGON, WI - The Benedictine University women's soccer team dropped to 1-1 in conference play with a 2-1 road loss at Edgewood College on Saturday.

THE DETAILS
• The contest was played at Oregon High School
• Both teams generated plenty of offense
• Edgewood struck early, opening the scoring following a pair of corner kicks in the 10th minute banking a shot off the post from five yards out
• Benedictine countered with three consecutive shots, all of which were saved
• Ashley Steadman,
Megan Anderson and
Sydney White all put shots on target
• Taylor Pokorny was denied on back-to-back attempts to tie late in the first half
• The hosts extended the lead to 2-0 in the 76th minute on a one-on-one
• Pokorny was able to put Benedictine on the board in the 82nd minute with a lob over the top of the keeper moments after having another attempt saved
• Benedictine blasted four attempts to tie in the final six minutes but could not even the game

• Benedictine held an 8-6 advantage in shots during the second half of the contest with three on goal
• Edgewood held a 15-14 margin in shots overall
• Pokorny notched six shots with four on goal
• Cassidy Henson made four saves in goal
