LISLE, IL - The 19th-ranked Benedictine University men's basketball team overcame a difficult night from beyond the arc to dispatch of MSOE and sweep the season series.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine overcame a slow start, falling behind 8-2 three minutes into the game
• Adam Reynolds scored on a jumper to tie the game at 12-12 with 13:23 left in the first half
• A three-pointer from Matt Chaltin just before the halfway point of the first handed Benedictine the lead for good at 17-14
• Four consecutive free throws late in the first stretched the lead to double figures at 33-22
• Kenny Bogus banked home a shot just before the buzzer on a second chance to give Benedictine a 39-29 advantage at the half
• The teams did a lot of trading baskets
• Michael Blaszczyk made the score 52-37 with a layup at the 15:40 mark of the second
• MSOE was able to whittle the lead down to seven at 64-57 with 8:05 left
• Benedictine countered with four straight points on baskets from Tahron Harvey and Brayden Olson
• Chaltin gave Benedictine the biggest lead of the game with a jumper to make the score 83-66 with 1:55 to go
• Benedictine led for 31:09

• Benedictine shot 60.6 percent in the second half and finished the game at 49.3 percent despite making just 2-of-16 three-pointers
• Benedictine held a 47-34 edge on the glass, converting 21 second chance points
• MSOE outrebounded Benedictine in the first meeting
• Harvey led all scorers with 25 points, adding a career best 12 rebounds and five assists for a double-double
• Blaszczyk notched 20 points to go with seven rebounds
• Reynolds also picked up a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards
• Olson scored 11 off the bench
