MILWAUKEE, WI - The Benedictine University women's soccer team waited an extra day due to weather but still handled Alverno College on the road to post a fourth consecutive positive result.

• Poor field conditions forced the game to be moved back a day with a venue switch to the turf facility at MSOE
• A pair of goals in the first 10 minutes set the tone for the contest
• Abbie Graham netted her third of the season on a through ball from 
Megan Anderson into the bottom left corner in the eighth minute
• Less than two minutes later 
Danielle Melotte tallied her third of the year by scoring on a mishandle
• Taylor Pokorny made the score 3-0 in the 17th minute with an unassisted goal in front of the net
• Melotte scored again in the 21st minute, pushing the lead to 4-0
• Benedictine led 5-0 at the half, scoring all five goals in less than 28 minutes
• The onslaught continued in the second half with goals coming from four different individuals
• Benedictine has posted back-to-back shutouts and owns shutouts in all four conference victories

• Benedictine peppered the goal with 18 shots in each half, holding a 36-4 advantage
• Benedictine also collected 11 corner kick opportunities
• 25 shots were on goal
• 11 different individuals posted shots in the win
• Melotte scored three goals with Pokorny adding two along with an assist
• Stephanie Nichols and 
Holly Ward each accounted for a goal and an assist as seven players entered the scoring column
• Cassidy Henson played 75 minutes and came up with four saves
• Desia Thurmond accounted for the final 15 minutes of time in goal but did not see a shot

Benedictine (4-9-1, 4-1-1 NACC) travels to MSOE for a key contest on Saturday afternoon
