LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team sent 10 seniors out on a winning note in the final home contest of the regular season with a win over Marian University that ensures a first round home game in the conference tournament.

• Benedictine kept on the attack for most of the game but struggled to find the back of the net
• The opening 45 minutes did not produce a goal
• The half was very physical
• Erik Stammer produced the final chance of the first with a shot that was denied in the 35th minute
• Benedictine kept producing quality chances but it took until the 85th minute to score
• Lukasz Sulka broke through by firing a shot from right to left on a feed from
Erik Stammer to account for the lone tally
• Benedictine held a 23-5 advantage in shots with 10 on goal
• Sulka finished with six shots to lead the attack
• Stammer and
Santiago Beltran each finished with five
• Benedictine also created nine corner kick chances
• Antonio Marti Polo faced five shots but did not need to make a save

Benedictine (12-5, 7-2 NACC) concludes the regular season on Wednesday night at Wisconsin Lutheran with the possibility of becoming the second seed depending on other results
